Why Work With Me

I’ve spent 12+ years running production e-commerce platforms and six years managing a frontend engineering team across 30+ sites. Now I bring that same depth to small businesses that don’t have (or need) a full-time technical team.

I’m based in Oakland. I work directly with you — no account managers, no handoffs. I use AI tools daily to work faster and deliver more, which means you get enterprise-level thinking at small-business-friendly rates.

You get a fixed quote before any work starts, and ongoing work is month-to-month with no long-term contract. White-label services are available for agencies and consultants who need reliable technical execution behind the scenes.

Common Questions

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Small businesses that need a working website and a way to be found online, but don’t have an in-house technical team — retail shops, restaurants, wineries, service businesses, and independent professionals. I also work white-label behind agencies and consultants who need reliable technical execution.

Do you work with clients outside Oakland?

Yes. I’m based in Oakland and meet in person around the Bay Area, but most work happens remotely, so location isn’t a constraint. Local clients in Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco get the option of in-person kickoff and review meetings.

How much does a website cost?

Most projects start around $2,500. A simple brochure site is a different job from a multi-page e-commerce build, so I quote per project — but you get a fixed number in writing before any work starts, so there are no surprise invoices and no hourly meter running. Ongoing work — hosting, maintenance, SEO, reporting — is month-to-month with no long-term contract, and you can stop any time.

Will I be working with you directly?

Yes. No account managers, no handoffs. You talk to the person doing the work, which means fewer rounds of telephone and faster turnaround.

What is white-label service?

If you’re an agency or consultant, I can do the technical execution behind the scenes under your brand. Your client sees your name; I handle the build, the migration, or the analytics setup. Useful when you win work that needs technical depth you don’t staff for.

Do you build accessible websites?

Yes. Accessibility is built in rather than bolted on afterward: semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, sufficient color contrast, and screen reader support to WCAG standards. I also run accessibility audits on existing sites and provide a prioritized fix list.

How quickly do you respond?

Within one business day of your first message. For ongoing clients on a maintenance plan, urgent production issues get same-day attention.
